A downloadable game

This is my very first game development project! I started with Pong and... well I made it my own! Just a few changes converting the score into a currency system and adding a few upgrades for the player to buy to add a bit more fun and flair to the game!

As this is my first project I am 100% sure there going to be bugs or balancing issues, so be warned!

Aside from that I hope you enjoy and leave feedback if you have any!

feedback:

the player movement feels a little weird for some reason. im not sure if its just me, but it feels like theres a small delay whenever the player can move (it seems lilke theres momentum thats maintained with movement?). i think it would feel better if the player movement was more direct, as in the movement is either +-x, or 0

i would probably make the coins go up every time the player hits the ball back

and also the enemy ai is a little bad, it kinda just moves in the general direction of the ball and stops. maybe thats intentional for the start of the game, but maybe adding other better ai's or maybe even letting this ai improve over time (during a match), would be a decent idea

and to add on to some of these points, you could also make the ball move faster the longer a single match goes, that way itd actually get harder for the player, and also keeps it possible to win agaisnt a really good ai

bugs:

theres a weird bug with the collision when the player has the large size upgrade where the ball just doesnt hit you at the top part of your character, and ends up going through you and making you lose the match

not sure if this is a bug or intentional, but the ball sometimes moves really fast, and then once you or the ai hits it, it suddenly moves really slowly, and vice versa. i think this might be because of diagonal movement that isn't normalized, or maybe because of how you wrote the code for it, but i did think that was a bit odd
